That is not true. We do not want to paint them. With [Moosweg] you also keep them moss-free. My teak on the boat is definitely not smooth and not grooved at all.

Quote from Betterwood:
Grooved decking boards: The biggest advantage of grooved decking boards is considered to be their lower slipperiness. But is a profiled decking board actually less slippery than a smooth board? We found that the board across the profile is indeed less slippery than a smooth planed decking board. However, when parallel to the profile, the opposite result was achieved: the grooved decking board was significantly more slippery in this direction than the smooth version.

And what is now the profile of the board?

I would also prefer smooth boards. But of course not if I constantly fall on my face or have to be afraid of it.

Therefore, better narrow boards without ridges! The grip results naturally from the gaps... So we make smooth boards with a width of 50mm in Robinia... Nothing slips there...

50mm is really narrow. Are there pictures of that? You first have to manage to buy something like that in oak. I'm afraid the selection is not that extensive. How much does the robinia cost and where does it come from?

These are 50mm planks, the wood comes from the EU, is harder than oak, and untreated has a lifespan of 30 years as a terrace. But the most important thing is that it does not tend to splinter.

Nice. How many m² of terrace do you have?
