Glue, e.g. Bostik super fix.
Starting from the lowest point is easiest because nothing slips then.
Then place shims on the support surface of the bearings to get a level surface. The nice thing is that you can always make corrections thanks to the [Stelzlager].
You will need to make corrections in several places depending on the evenness...
Lay the panels. Adjust the [Stelzlager] heights and then start adjusting panel by panel. For amateurs like us, the easiest way.
Or work with a height laser if you have one.

Hi Rick,
but that would be with pedestal supports again.

Isn't there any possibility to lay/glue the panels directly on the [Bautenschutzmatte] or to install them without the pedestal supports? That was the original question, and I misunderstood you because you are still suggesting laying the panels on pedestal supports.

I definitely can't make any progress with the pedestal supports click system.
And exactly as you described, I also did it. With the underlay on the pedestal support, but just with the [Bautenschutzmatte] or small sections of it.

Best regards, Mattes

Hello Mattes, we have misunderstood each other. The underlay goes on top of the pedestal. Only then can you correct individual slabs. Without the pedestal means "classic installation". Height adjustment is not easier for laypeople then either. If you want to stick directly onto the protection mat, this only works with a lot of adhesive (almost full surface) and you need spacers. Doable yes, but certainly not the best solution.

Referring to this point: has research already been done using the keywords "vario plattenlager"? There are supports that allow fine adjustment from above.

He skillfully ignored this tip.

Alternatively, if 2cm are really available, split bed supports with joint crosses.

Or mortar bags, that should be the cheapest option.

Hello you two and thanks for the info. What does 'gekonnt ignoriert' mean? The slab supports I linked (Edit: Had... Hornbach is probably not allowed to be linked. So enter 'Star T Stelzlager 10-15 mm 4 mm Fuge' from Eternoivica in the search. Those are the ones I’m using), can also be adjusted from above. But unfortunately only for all 4 slabs at the same time that meet at this slab support. That’s my problem. 3 slabs are sitting properly, one is wobbling. It doesn’t help me much if I can adjust the support with a long slotted screwdriver from above. @ tomom: OK, that’s also an idea. How do I fasten the edge slabs with the gravel bed support? There is no ‘frame’, right? And possibly I will redo the mortar faces completely next spring. They ‘self-adjust’ for each slab. How thick do the mortar bags need to be at minimum? Does any of you know? Best regards Mattes
