Hi, we are planning the terrace to be level with the top edge of the finished floor. The plan is for a standard patio door from the window manufacturer and a drainage channel outside. There is also the option of a flush threshold (virtually barrier-free). Unfortunately, I don't know any specific product data. The DIN standard is rather strict (15 cm threshold without drainage, which, in my opinion, is rarely seen in practice).

How is it with you? What did you decide on and why? How high is any potential threshold? Is the terrace covered? Is there drainage? Feel free to include photos

We have 2.2 m covered and plan to connect the terrace more or less level to a [Hevebschiebetür]. And exactly the drainage is what concerns us right now as well I'm curious if anyone will report here.

With us, it is also on the ground floor. However, we have a wooden terrace directly adjacent, so there are never any problems with water (gravel ground outside is about 25cm lower than the wooden surface).

We have two terrace exits according to DIN with a sill. It is similar to a step.

Otherwise, we would have had to work with liquid plastic sealing and install a drainage channel. We have it at the front door... without a channel... the channel was unstable and didn’t quite serve the purpose as hoped because it clogged quickly.
I can gladly upload pictures tomorrow.

Zero barrier is possible, but insanely expensive, meaning you’re looking at around 600-700 euros net per meter with a magnetic threshold. I wouldn’t recommend it because it’s outrageously expensive.

We have a 20mm threshold at the front door and the two floor-to-ceiling windows - the extra cost is low, the threshold barely noticeable.

A (slot) gutter is installed at the windows (or a wooden terrace that is high enough), at the front door we have a step, so we skip something like that...

Hello Hello

We are also planning with a 20 mm threshold on HT and terrace doors. The terrace should also be as close as possible to the height of the floor inside the house. A channel is not planned, however, we also have a 2.6 m roof overhang and the floor slab is also the finished floor.
