Hello everyone,

There seems to be software for generating [LVs] by the dozen. Which programs are recommended for a simple single-family house?

Looking forward to your tips,

Regards, Alex

Do you want to carry out the tenders on your own? By the way, there is no such thing as a simple single-family house. No software will help you as a layperson because you don't even know which quantities, building materials, and work steps are needed. If you do know them, you can simply create an Excel file.

Hi, I am reasonably familiar with the subject and also have an architect by my side. I would like to advance the project as much as possible myself out of enthusiasm for the matter. So, which software is recommended? Avaplan, ...? Regards

Then it makes no sense at all for you to do a tender yourself. You will make mistakes 100% and the architect has to check everything completely anyway. But well, not my problem. If you only care about the tender and not about further awarding steps or cost control, just take the cheapest AVA program you find. For a layman, nothing else is needed, since you can’t make use of a more extensive scope of services anyway.

None at all. For a "simple single-family house," your pool of bidders will almost always consist 100% of people who are not used to submitting their offers in software form. Rather, they read texts and drawings analog on paper, so you can just as well contact them analog on paper. Software will not magically make you a top chef – if you have too little knowledge, the software cannot add that either. I have been doing tenders for almost thirty years; this is not a suitable field for amateurs. An orchestra symphony composed by a machine will have the charm of a ringtone. Don’t forget, it’s your and real money that you’re burning.

It is always the same skeptics... as if there is a lobby here... I am planning with a local architect. I will also ask him about his preferred software. Which I probably do not want to afford. But this topic can probably be handled with GAEB. So, I am taking care of affordable Ava software. And actually, the reason for this thread is to get recommendations regarding this... Regards
