you simply don't understand the big picture.

No problem, that's what managers usually have subordinates for.

It may cost what it already costs the craftsman to do it. No more and no less. Otherwise, there is the dear competition that you can gladly ask.

What good does it do you if we tell you: Yes, clearly the surcharge is too high. Do you stomp your feet?

We are now at 12,000 (gross?), of which 2,700 net (3,200 gross). That's about a 36% surcharge.

Is that a lot? I don't know

I don't. Or to put it differently: define "perfect". Measured with the scanning electron microscope down to one atomic layer? Certainly not, that would be absurd and impossible. Otherwise not measurable? With which device and for what purpose? "Also no errors/irregularities visible even with close inspection"? That would be a reasonable variant, which, however, immediately brings us back to the statement that errors are more visible the smaller the format is. So with smaller tiles, work needs to be done more precisely.

(or better Captain Obvious): In a nutshell, it costs what it costs? Thank you very much, that is really very enlightening. PS: The strained connection regarding the foot soldiers just reads as terribly unsympathetic. It wouldn’t be so crazy that I suspected experiential values in this forum. Of course it’s about looking closely. I will now gather other offers.

Experience values won’t help you. % is just as nonsense as absolute numbers. It is always difficult to compare. Same with the initial situation. One is building new via general contractor, the other is just having the bathroom done.

The best is always a competing offer.
