Regarding the actual topic, there are really new developments now on the part of KfW:
Quote:
From tomorrow, February 22, 2022, new applications for renovation measures can once again be submitted to KfW. The renovation funding within the framework of the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG) will thus start again. The funding conditions for renovation measures remain unchanged.
KfW had already begun in a first step to process all eligible old applications that had been received by the provisional application stop on January 23, 2022, at 24:00. These applications will be reviewed by KfW promptly according to the previous program criteria and – if eligible for funding – approved. In a second step, the renovation funding can also start again from tomorrow.
Intensive coordination is currently underway within the federal government regarding the newly to be set up EH40 new construction funding.
Last week, the federal government together with the Budget Committee of the Bundestag allocated new funds of approximately €9.5 billion for the BEG, which are intended for processing the old applications submitted by January 23, 2022, 24:00, for resuming the renovation funding and for the new edition of the EH40 new construction funding, and which secure financing until the regular budget is adopted.
End of quote
The grant option is still running as well.
From tomorrow, new applications can be submitted again. I just don’t understand why new construction can’t continue just the same right now... Presumably so one can say that the €1 billion almost lasted until the end of the year.
The €9.5 billion discussed last week is for these renovation matters AND the old applications submitted up to January 24, right!? The €1 billion currently being talked about is ONLY for new construction matters, isn’t it?
