Regarding the selection of the system and the wood, I didn’t want to go into too much detail yet, but just wanted to set a rough budget. I think €4,000 including labor costs should probably be sufficient.

You’re probably right, and it makes sense to simply plaster the 20 m² and then ventilate the construction. I thought I could save the €1,000 there.

Since you haven't plastered yet, I assume you are still quite early in the process. Consider flush paneling. In my opinion, it looks much better.
