Hmm, no, it should really be an external roller shutter. We are aware that it is not ideal in terms of thermal bridging... But is it extremely dramatic to do it that way anyway?

How is the box mounted then? I mean anchored?

The roller shutter rails are attached to the window and the box is mounted on the rails. However, to be on the safe side, I would still fix the box to the wall with construction adhesive.

Maybe someone has an assessment of whether it can be done as planned (even if it might not be ideal because of the thermal bridge) or if it is an absolute no-go? Many thanks in advance!

There are also simpler options for exterior shading, and nowadays there are even solutions for clamping. Before I chip away brand new plaster and insulation, I would probably think about that.

I am happy about all the alternative suggestions (thanks!), but unfortunately, apart from , no one has really said anything about the sense/nonsense of the current plan  Is it basically feasible, or will it definitely cause problems with mold/traces on the facade in a few years?

Thanks again in advance!
