Strip foundation versus slab foundation

consider building a house in timber frame construction.

The plot is about 1 meter below the street, so it would have to be properly filled and compacted.

I discussed the scenario with a carpentry business, to build a strip foundation instead of a slab foundation.

Then it would essentially become a crawl space. The floor of the ground floor would then also be a beam ceiling.

The beam ceiling would be insulated like the exterior wall. A membrane and cement fiberboard would be installed at the bottom against rising moisture.

Are such constructions sustainably stable?

Is a strip foundation to be discouraged?

That is fundamentally feasible and possibly significantly more cost-effective than a fill with compaction proof. I built my own house this way, with a ventilated floor slab in timber construction. Decisive is the soil survey, which should be carried out first and the indications for the foundation contained therein.

Ok, and do you also have the panel and cement fiberboard below?

Or is there a different construction?
