Good day,
after doing some research, we are now completely clueless about what to do with our large room windows, which consist of two elements (top: a tilt-and-turn window - bottom: a fixed window [= the lawn can be seen through in the photos]).
Our goal is that you cannot look directly from outside into the rooms and, ideally, that some of the heat can also be blocked.
Therefore, we have already attached a pleated blind to the upper window (simple, since with a tilt-and-turn window frame, you can "clamp" it at the top and bottom with holding elements).
Unfortunately, this is not possible with the lower fixed window. First, you cannot clamp anything because it cannot be opened. And second, the window frame inside at the glass insert (glass bead), where the silicone bead begins, is only 1 cm deep. So you cannot attach a pleated blind with a so-called "tension foot" to the glass bead either (it always needs to be at least 1.5 cm deep).
As a temporary solution, we bought and attached some really ugly window film with suction cups, which however keeps coming off (can be seen in the photo below).
I wanted to ask if anyone has ideas on how we could now solve the problem of privacy protection (and ideally heat protection). Maybe someone of you faced a similar challenge. Or what have you done with your fixed windows?
I am grateful for any advice!
