Split the underground cable into 2 circuits

Hi,

when we planned the electrical system back then, we included a 5-core underground cable for the garden as a reserve.
This is intended for future garden lighting/power supply.
The cable emerges approximately in the middle of the property beneath the terrace.

I do not want any tips on how to connect the cable properly; I will leave that to professionals.

But for my further garden planning, I wondered:

[*]Can I split this cable into 2 independent circuits?
A simple switch indoors is available and planned for this.
It should then be replaced by a 2-gang series switch to control each circuit individually.

[*]Can I then lead one circuit to the left side of the garden and the other circuit to the right side of the garden?
What happens then to the green/yellow PE conductor?

With the 5-core you can make three circuits. We don't need to answer the rest of the questions since the implementation will be done by the professional.

Thank you for the quick response. That unfortunately only answers my questions halfway. Can I now separate the line spatially? Lay 2 wires to the left into the garden and 2 wires to the right into the garden? Which wire pairs should be used then? I am allowed to do that as a layman after all. Especially since the line and the switch are of course not yet connected in the eDistribution.

Do you want tips now or not? Yes, you can. You have to measure which wire is which. Traditionally, brown, black, and gray are phases 1-3, blue is the neutral conductor, and yellow/green is the protective conductor. So for each circuit use one phase, the neutral conductor, and the protective conductor.

Before you split this further, you can set a distributor and then proceed with 3-core underground cables each.

Use a Friedl box for the earth. Absolutely waterproof and enough space to distribute your three lines further and bury it deep in the ground.
