Hello everyone,
this year we are heating our house completely for the first time with split air conditioning units. So far, it is working very well. Now I am wondering whether I should turn off the units for ventilation or let them run continuously. We do shock ventilation 3-4 times a day for about 5 minutes each time. Since the room air temperature naturally drops sharply during this time, the air conditioning units immediately start blowing warm air strongly. Within 10 minutes, the rooms return to the set temperature.
From the perspective of energy consumption, it obviously makes sense to turn off the units during each 5-minute ventilation. This is what you do with normal radiator thermostats as well. But what does this mean for the air conditioning units? Is it somehow problematic to turn them off briefly and then turn them back on?
How do others who heat with air conditioning handle this?
Regards Simon
