after our selection of options for a detached house when buying from a developer (yes, a real developer) is done: How must/should I report the costs for special requests/selections to the tax office?

Are there any forms for that? Does it happen automatically? What happens if you forget it in the hustle and bustle?

Yes, the house was purchased through a notary, the invoice for the real estate transfer tax has already been paid (for the house price excluding special items).

We also had [Grundstück+Haus] included. Back then, we removed all the things to put them back in later. This saved us a few thousand, and no one will notice anything.

Were you informed about such a late declaration? As far as I know, that does not exist. The bare house is the acquisition. That is what the tax is about. It is not about the furnishings. Imagine wanting to finally lay your noble tiles after 30 years, that has nothing to do with property acquisition.
