In our construction project, a room is also being created under the concrete staircase.
Since this staircase is straight-run, the room is very deep and quite narrow.
We just had the idea to install a 2-3m deep (or whatever depth is realistically possible) drawer near the floor and equip it with long heavy-duty telescopic slides.
There is enough space in front of the stairwell, so we could pull out the drawer without much trouble.
The stuff that you basically never need goes all the way to the back, and "more important" things go in front.
The bottom "drawer" should be about 2-3m long and approximately 48cm high. The next one above correspondingly shorter and also 48cm high. Then a third one, which is lower and correspondingly less deep.
The bottom drawer should already accommodate heavy items like drinks in the drawer. The drawers above should bear their own weight plus 20-30kg.
Is there by chance a carpenter here who could give a rough initial estimate of what something like this would cost?
The walls are masonry, so the mounting should generally be unproblematic.
