Hello everyone,
I am building a semi-detached house which stands on its own slab. Now that the shell including windows and roof is in place, the site manager noticed that the two slabs are connected with a rigid foam (which was apparently used when pouring the slabs). Otherwise, mineral wool has been used between the houses.
Allegedly, this affects sound insulation, but no one can quantify the resulting defect in this condition.
Important: this defect will be recorded in the documentation and must be reported in case of a potential house sale.
Cutting through between the houses and removing all intermediate contents would cost €15,000.
The construction company offers me compensation of €500 for this and gives me 24 hours to consider.
Is that too little?
Looking forward to quick responses and thanks in advance!
