Solid wood house, lighting, helpless

Hello, we are building a solid wood house and now our site manager wants to know what kind of lamps, how many lamps, where....etc. This is overwhelming me right now, especially since my husband is very busy with work at the moment, and I want to take some of the burden off him. Now it is the case that on the upper floor a spot means significantly more effort than regular lamps - for fire protection reasons, since everything is made of wood. In the basement (office, 15m2 WC, hallway, utility room, large room 70m2 with kitchen, dining, living) we now have to decide whether halogen or LED, how many spots, where they should go, what is the difference between halogen and LED, is there a recommended manufacturer... I have no knowledge about this at all and am grateful for any help.... Best regards!

I couldn't really find a specific question to answer.

The determination of the lighting is of course independent of the type of house construction; that there is more effort for recessed spots in a solid wood house is also clear.

Your architect and/or electrician can certainly help you. The electrician definitely can when it comes to the number of lights; he surely also has some examples he has already installed.

For the placement, your architect can help you or you have to try to make the best of it with the (furnished) floor plan of the house and the experience from your current situation.

As an alternative, there are also electrical planners and lighting planners (If the house is near Konstanz, there is a small lighting store in the immediate neighborhood of the 'hohen Hauses' that sells (expensive) lamps, but makes (very good) lighting plans for free.
