Hello everyone!

We are currently still in the planning phase; the construction publication was made last week. We have decided on the following type of construction: reinforced concrete slab, strip foundation, reinforced concrete, BN, KS. Furthermore, it should be Minergie standard, connected to district heating and with 15m2 solar collectors.

Now to the actual question: friends and colleagues believe that the price of around CHF 950,000 for the house construction (excluding land) is quite high. They recommend that we also consider the prefab house option, as it is much cheaper than solid construction, especially prefab house builders from Germany.

What do you think of this statement? Are prefab houses really cheaper? Are prefab houses from Germany cheaper than those from Switzerland? What "risks" should be expected? Could you possibly recommend addresses of prefab house builders in Germany?

Many thanks for your feedback!

Hello,

with the mentioned construction method I cannot currently identify a low-energy standard,
but the friends are right, because production in a factory is more efficient than on a construction site, although the lifecycle may be shorter as a result.

A high low-energy standard is important here, because afterwards there is not much that can be done.

I am also currently considering building a passive house from Germany with a Swiss colleague. Despite higher transport costs for the building materials, we are currently 20-30% cheaper in the calculation depending on the trade.
Some trades remain in Switzerland due to liability and on-site service.

Best regards

Quote from point 1 Quote from point 3 oops, but then one should not proceed as described in point 1 ;) "Bending flexible shells" should not be executed with the same thickness. With this principle and special fillings, it is even possible to build near airports. However, the frequency ranges and surfaces are also very important here. Best regards
