Hello everyone!
We are currently still in the planning phase; the construction publication was made last week. We have decided on the following type of construction: reinforced concrete slab, strip foundation, reinforced concrete, BN, KS. Furthermore, it should be Minergie standard, connected to district heating and with 15m2 solar collectors.
Now to the actual question: friends and colleagues believe that the price of around CHF 950,000 for the house construction (excluding land) is quite high. They recommend that we also consider the prefab house option, as it is much cheaper than solid construction, especially prefab house builders from Germany.
What do you think of this statement? Are prefab houses really cheaper? Are prefab houses from Germany cheaper than those from Switzerland? What "risks" should be expected? Could you possibly recommend addresses of prefab house builders in Germany?
Many thanks for your feedback!
