Yes, of course on the ground floor as well, she just wants to be able to retreat upstairs.

So, if someone has prejudices against underfloor heating, I can understand that and come up with arguments. But why do you apply your prejudice against underfloor heating to the upstairs floor? Where is the difference supposed to be? Does your wife fly over your downstairs floor and have to land upstairs????

Thank you for your argumentation. I will make a new attempt. Personally, I am in favor of underfloor heating throughout the entire house, but it must please both of us. However, this must be decided soon as it is decisive for the floor construction (screed). As I said, the point of efficiency bothers me. Why would I install a heat pump only to nullify all savings in the same breath through the second heating circuit.

It's a calculation example, because in summer – when you don't need heating – the good yield occurs (with modest feed-in tariffs). In winter, it's rather the opposite.
Unfortunately, the feed-in tariff is decreasing faster than the prices for the photovoltaic system – so it is becoming increasingly difficult for the system to pay off within a manageable period. Energy storage = batteries could be interesting, as you can achieve a high self-consumption with them. However, I currently do not trust the technology (in the long term) :(

So you confirm my gut feeling. If batteries are added, the price rises even further. I have a price of €6500 for 5KW including installation and according to calculations, about €7500 yield comes out after 20 years, but then batteries are added or the system needs repairs, etc., hardly any profit remains. I think I'll rather leave it.
