That’s why I wrote “plus variant,” that’s not a toy and can handle up to 40 cameras. The critical point with 14 cameras would be the costly licenses you have to acquire. In my office, I had three cameras with continuous recording while simultaneously running a file server, worked smoothly and reliably. Although I really wonder where you’d want to go with 14 cameras? 5-6 would already be intense … : the videos are saved on your own server and not in some cloud.

Thanks for your feedback. The 14 cameras result from the building construction and elimination of blind spots. Are the licenses annual or one-time? Costs play a subordinate role in this principle. The main thing is that I implement it myself. THAT has nothing to do with ego. It's more about principles. I am starting my new 'single-family house' in about 18 months (it's going to be a bigger one) I just need the thrill of tension.

One-time, about 50 euros per license. The larger the NAS, however, the more are already included.
