No, the question was why you mentioned Cadvilla and MeinHausplaner in the same breath. Sounds like to you they are the same software.
Almost, although CadVilla probably can do more, right?
But recommending a software, no matter how good it is, in the four-figure price range for that requirement profile? Seriously?
Oh, I run Revit as a toy. You just have to ask nicely and you get it.
The results are better and the learning curve for just floor plans and 3D views is not much greater than for the others. Roof works great in Revit, stairs are okay. (Or maybe I'm too stupid for it?)
Sure, if I want to do MEP, that requires more. But I have no clue about that by nature. Even the best CAD won't help with that.
And professionally, I'm working in MechCAD. For me, AutoCAD, SolidEdge, and SolidWorks are just better "paint by numbers," priced in Revit's class. I'm talking about NX, Creo, and Catia. They have different demands on CAD. That's the proverbial apples-to-oranges comparison. Or, to put it in more general terms, Bentley against Dacia... both run.
