For the specially designated emergency window: the previous owner retrofitted a roller shutter that does not meet the requirements?

That was all installed in the 90s. The question is, what exactly are the requirements?

A rescue window must have a hand crank if it is electric. In our new single-family house, it is mandatory per floor. Also on the ground floor even though the front door is not electric and the window with hand crank is right in the adjacent room (from the hallway). Retrofitting is probably not too difficult/expensive, after all, it is only manual. The crank goes into the box at the top.

Thank you for the information. Nowadays, this is apparently checked more regularly. We will continue to gather information on what would make the most sense or how exactly such a crank would be installed. The [Rollladenkasten] is mounted on the outside of the window.
