smart grid ready heat pump

Hello everyone,
could you please briefly explain to a layperson what advantages a "smart grid ready" label on a heat pump brings?! One advantage is 500€ BAFA funding, but what else and which technical measures are still required. What can/must I control with the help of this interface (meter)?

It should actually be an air-water heat pump without photovoltaics.

And what does that mean specifically? ??? Exactly such answers I wanted to avoid, because I also found that on the internet...

That means exactly what it says... if your supplier provides an intelligent power grid, then the heat pump can handle it. Or rather, they can then turn your heat pump on and off to avoid peak loads.

Funding conditions are the simultaneous installation of a storage tank with a volume of at least 30 liters per kilowatt

The storage tank alone (completely unnecessary) would practically eat up the bonus again...
