Hello, we want to "retain" a slope. The idea is to retain it with unreinforced L-shaped concrete blocks (80 high). The total length is approximately 14 meters. Per meter, a landscaper wants about €200 for setting and backfilling/modeling with soil. Material + labor (approximately €2,800). Is this a good price? Thanks

You know that if you have asked 2 others from your area, I would suggest. My neighbor paid 500 EUR per meter, however, the parts are 2m high and could only be moved with heavy equipment. At 80cm, it looks different of course, so unfortunately no comparison.

Hello,
how does it look with entering the neighbor's property? If we want to build the wall ourselves, he must grant us access, right?
There is the right of hammering.

Hello,

Have you already had negative experiences with the neighbors or what is the purpose of your question?

It is true that this right exists. The following excerpt is noteworthy:

**The general condition is that the neighbor who wants to carry out the construction measures must notify the relevant neighbor whose property he intends to use in advance. Depending on state law, this notification must be made two to four weeks before the planned start of the construction measures. If he does not do this, he has no right to enter that property! The same applies in cases where the respective property owner does not agree to the use of his property: in that case, the builder is also not permitted to enter the neighboring property. However, he has the right to sue his neighbor for toleration and thus enforce his interests.

So it is better to ask verbally first and then send a written notice before involving the courts.

Rhenish greetings
