Sliding Terrace Doors Picture Thread - Show us your sliding doors!

Was at an (older) industrialist villa a few days ago. There were vertical sliding doors. Also an interesting solution, as they were completely frameless (integrated into the walls). But just opening the door a little is of course not possible - only all or nothing.

Here is how it looks with us... still in the construction phase.... The main wall with the two very large elements is, I believe, about 14M, of which 2+5M are lift-and-slide elements. For the statics, this already meant a relatively large amount of steel and concrete... unusually much for a single-family house. But whatever, we did it ourselves.... In the middle between the two large elements there was a concrete column; for a normal single-family house you normally wouldn’t build it like that, but the statics required it.

Another example from our former basement: we also built a granny flat, which is the other photo with the 3 small elements as a different approach.

In terms of budget, our windows were one of the biggest items with just under 50,000 euros for the entire build. Hope this helps you.
