Hello everyone,

now I could really use a little help / support with our sliding door problem.

In the contract, a wooden sliding door running inside the wall was agreed upon - room height, profile running in the ceiling without a floor rail.
So far so good... only unfortunately the topic got a bit neglected... and was almost forgotten... as to how the profile is now supposed to be screwed to the ceiling... so far so good.

Only unfortunately the frame around the door is anything but great and the construction is not outstanding either. With the Fino model one could possibly still come to terms....
However, we are now looking for alternatives to doors without aluminum frames, low ceiling rails and the like.

Does anyone of you possibly have a link / tip, have ordered something yourself...built or the like for suitable sliding doors with low profile construction.
( since we are possibly considering switching to glass... gladly also on that )

Room height RFB 2.765
Door width 1.05
Wall width 1.23
Parquet

Thanks a lot in advance and have a nice weekend

If it cannot be integrated into the ceiling/wall, aluminum is the slimmest option you can find. Wood is thicker. Aluminum is more expensive. How the door itself is designed is actually (almost) irrelevant.

Does it have to be sliding? We separated the hallway from the living area with a floor-to-ceiling glass door with a side panel. It works acoustically. Timber frame construction, about €3,000. Aluminum would have been another €2,000 more expensive.

Had a similar situation. Originally wall pocket + sliding door. Fortunately, we were undecided. Unfortunately, I don't have a proper picture, only one right after the installation was completed.

For us, the opening is 240cm wide and the clear room height is about 265cm
