Slatted frame for Ikea Sultan Forsbacka

I am the happy owner of the mattress Sultan Vorsbacka. I bought it the year before last at the Ikea in Dresden. The Ikea employee there told me that it was sufficient to use a cheap 20-euro slatted frame. Over time, this slatted frame broke. Now I was at Ikea in Hamburg and wanted to buy another cheap slatted frame, when I was told that for this mattress you need a special slatted frame that should cost over 100 euros. Now I don't know who is right. Do I really have to invest that much money? Are there alternatives to the expensive part from Ikea?

I hope for a prompt reply. At the moment I sleep in my Malm bed box, looks very amusing

well, I would recommend you buy an expensive slatted frame, since the really cheap one will break again anyway, like the first one :eek:

It broke because I assembled the bed slightly incorrectly. However, I was otherwise quite satisfied. And 100 euros more is pretty tough for my budget.

So the bed was set up completely wrong, or did you just sleep restlessly? ;)

Jokes aside. An acquaintance bought a slatted frame at IKEA for about €60-70 and is completely satisfied with it. The advantage of this one was that it was disassembled and therefore could also be transported in a Golf.

€20 sounds like a roll-up slatted frame. It's okay, I'm currently sleeping on one myself, but in terms of comfort, it can't match a sprung one. I think it should be worth spending a few euros for a healthy sleep.
