Skylight in the bedroom?

We are currently facing the question of whether to have a Velux window installed directly in the bedroom. GGU S06, that is plastic with the dimensions 114x118cm.
The cost for this would be €1400.
The roof window would face North/North-West.
There is a floor-to-ceiling window facing West/South-West in that room.

My opinion is that you are there when it is dark, because it is a bedroom and people preferably sleep at night. Therefore, the 1400,- do not need to be spent there. Karsten

We have a skylight and a floor-to-ceiling window in our bedroom and do not want to do without them. It makes the room nice and bright, and the two windows allow for great cross-ventilation. However, care should be taken to properly shade the skylight in summer so that heat does not accumulate in the room.

In contrast to , I am of the opinion that the bedroom is also used during the day. However, the choice of window, whether in the roof or wall, always depends on the room layout. If it is an L-shaped room or a narrow corridor, two windows may be necessary to have daylight in another corner as well.
