Hello friends,

I have a single-family house that was built/moved into in 2004 (but I was not involved with the construction back then). Now we wanted to change/improve something regarding the energy topic of the house. So far, we have a Viessmann gas heating system from 2004.

I thought that we could replace the gas heating with an air/water heat pump and operate it with photovoltaics (at least in theory, I have no idea how this works in practice for us). So I asked an energy consultant to come by and make a proposal. Most of the suggestions make sense to me (although I am an amateur and can only understand them superficially). I ask you here to take a look at the plan and, if necessary, leave comments.

If you have an idea how I could maybe share the PDF files here better than converting them into millions of JPGs, I would be grateful (as far as I understood, the forum does not want links to other sites), especially since I can only attach 10 files?

My thoughts on the plan are as follows:
Package of measures 1 is very expensive (possibly no thermal insulation glazing? Current windows okay?) especially compared to the savings (there is a good chance that my thought is nonsense). Otherwise, I would have done everything.

If you don't know what to do with the money, you can certainly do something. Otherwise, it's the famous carrying water to the brook…

A house from 2004 is modern,
first move in and pay the heating costs.
If the heating system becomes a money pit, reconsider.
The houses from 2004 are not being demolished by the dozens because of energy efficiency, they are being lived in.

... what do you think, who reads it like that? If there are various versions, it would have been more sensible to have a post here for each version with a summary and, if necessary, the exact documents ... but this, this is already quite demanding.

Hello :)

May I ask what the background is for energetically renovating a building that is not even that old? On what basis were the investment costs calculated? Prices are quite bad at the moment.

Best regards

Sorry, but no one reads that.

Basic approach:
1: Cover all roofs with photovoltaics.
2: If there is something to renovate, renovate.
3: BEFORE the heating breaks down, prepare a proper plan on how to quickly switch to a heat pump in case of emergency. Once the plan is in place, you can also switch earlier at any time. The children will thank you.
