Links are not allowed here.

This article most likely also concerned a very specific large corporate group; because there are certain things like the mentioned additional conditions customary with their own financial intermediary.

Therefore, as already said; it depends on the exact wording.

Usually the reservation is a separate document.

So you do not yet have the complete contractual documents. And have you not reviewed them thoroughly overall or in parts?

Is financing promised or will it be?

There is no 14-day right of withdrawal. This only applies to telemarketing, internet orders, and door-to-door sales. None of this is the case here. There is no reason not to say, we guarantee you the old price until your financing is secured, at the latest we say 6 weeks. Signature only when the property is clear and the money is together!!!!!! I really can't understand how you let yourselves be pressured into signing. You haven't finally bought the property yet, so I wouldn't sign any contract either. It would make me really angry if a seller told me such stories about some actions or price increases, honestly, I personally would never buy a house there. We were not pressured at all when buying our house, took 5 months before we signed the contract, and had already agreed on all possible additions beforehand. It's your money and your risk that you're taking with the house purchase. The seller doesn't care as long as he gets his commission after the contract is signed. There is no reason for you to let yourselves be pressured.

Best regards
Sabine

We went through this at the beginning of the year, in January. And what came out of it...

The property is now financed and being paid off, but the development by the municipality, including the surveying, is taking a long time. It should be finished by the end of the year. I don't even want to imagine what kind of pressure they would have put on us if we had already signed.

My advice: Always approach the matter calmly and skeptically, and don’t let yourself be rushed.

Let's turn things around:

Serious entrepreneurs/sellers have their books full, no one needs to pressure them into anything...

One can rather be glad to currently get a construction appointment slot in a timely manner.

Serious entrepreneurs are currently more than happy and far at or even beyond their capacity limits. The problem, however, is that there is a shortage of plots of land especially near the well-known model house parks. In other words, some sellers in these areas have a problem selling feasible projects at all...
