Side walls on OV9 with pizza function - cleaning?

Hello,

this week we bought a new kitchen at Ikea. Along with it, we got a pizza oven OV9 with a pizza function.

Now we have tried it for the second time and cooked/baked a delicious roast in it. Naturally, it splattered a lot. I wanted to clean the side walls and noticed that between the actual side wall (enameled) and the grid bar there is another sheet/panel. However, this is very rough on the surface. (This sheet is also on the back wall.)

Question: Does this belong inside the oven, or was it only for transport? And if it belongs inside, how do I clean it???

Those should be the walls for the catalytic self-cleaning.

As the IKEA expert already said, if it is very rough, these are the walls of the catalytic cleaning. You do not need to clean them because they "self" clean. These heat up more than the rest of the oven and burn off the grease splashes and food residues that are on them.

You only need to replace them once they have become saturated.
