Anyone have any experience with this? I am currently planning our double carport (which is supposed to become a garage at some point) and for various reasons I don't have much height available for a door running under the ceiling. However, I had a dead wall thickness that was perfectly suitable to have the door run in front of it later. An additional advantage would be the wicket door function, allowing the garage door to open only to the width of a person. Otherwise, I can't find any major pros or cons online except:

Advantages:
Usable with low ceiling height
Or allows storage space under the ceiling.

Door function because the garage door can be opened only about a meter to get into the garage.

Disadvantages:
Supposedly more expensive than conventional installation under the ceiling
You lose the wall surface in front of which the door runs.

Any other experiences or does anyone have one in use? Is the price difference really significant?
