hello dear forum,

I can or have to shower at my workplace. since an acquaintance recently told me that it is bad for the sanitary system at home in the long run if it is NEVER used, I wanted to ask if that is true and how I could counteract it. I also read something about [legionella] online. unfortunately, no instructions on how to proceed specifically. so I mean, for example, if it is enough to run water briefly every 2-4 weeks. since I have no idea about this topic, I wanted to ask if you have any tips on the proper procedure?

thank you very much
best regards

You don't really mean the question seriously - do you? What about the weekend and so on? No personal hygiene?

Sports club is almost always on at the weekend. It means it really happens that I can or have to shower away from home daily for months. Of course, sometimes it also happens at home, but as I said, for months with business trips etc., the shower is skipped.

Then turn it on for three minutes.

How often and must cold and warm water be opened separately to prevent legionella from forming, or is lukewarm water sufficient since both come out simultaneously?
