Almost 2 meters are also only 180 cm

One idea would be to place the socket for the electric towel warmer up near the ceiling. From what I remember (I once saw such a "splash" drawing and it would also make sense) the splash zone in a shower is larger at the bottom than at the top, but I don’t know for sure.

Basically, I would rather give the tip to do without an electric towel warmer: it’s never on when you actually need a warm towel. It also hardly warms the whole towel, but only a very small area of it, so you don’t really feel it.
I also never remember the drying process of the towel or several towels being faster than with normal bathroom air, which is usually warmer than the rest of the house anyway.
For the purchase price, there are definitely more stylish larger towel holders without electricity.

Thank you. Yes, you are probably right that the radiator is better placed on the outside after all.

YPG: We don’t use the radiator just for the towels, but also for warming the bathroom in the morning during winter, controlled by a timer switch (underfloor heating is not enough to make it cozy warm ). Yes, a socket at the top would be another option (above 2.25 meters), but unfortunately I haven’t found a radiator yet that has the connection at the top and the cable is too short to run it up.

Doc: Our current opening is also 70 cm, although a few cm are lost because there is a glass door. The door itself is only 65 cm and our corner shower has an opening of 60 cm. When you’re old you can still redesign – after all, they are only drywall walls. Although I don’t even know if 200m2 isn’t too much for me when I’m old
