Hello,

I am considering leaving my shower open on two sides (a wall on the left and right at about 1m distance and about 2m long)

Does anyone have experience with this? Is 2m enough or should I plan for more?

Thanks

I don't have direct experience, but I have seen it once and it looks great... I think you should also have a floor covering where the water drains well and it doesn't splash out as much

The water from the shower sprays as far as one is tall. A rule of thumb.

So you want to leave your shower open at the front and back and have planned a length of 2 meters? In other words - the shower area ends about 100cm from the showerhead? Then it will get quite wet outside. Go to the swimming pool and measure how far you splash from the showerhead (they usually have huge shower halls there where you can try such experiments :) )

Hello,
I would not recommend that to you either.
We currently have a 1.40m long shower wall (so a good meter from the showerhead to the opening) and we always splash about 40 cm in front of the shower. Additionally, I fear that it might be too cold for many ladies because the surrounding air can flow freely through the shower.
Conclusion: It looks very good, but in my opinion, it is totally impractical.

Hello,

although this type of shower looks very chic, I would also advise against it, unless you hire your own cleaning lady... ;-)

Our showerhead is mounted on the front side of the shower - the distance to the side entrance of the shower is 1.44 m in our case. Water splashes almost exactly up to that point (1.44 m from the front wall) when using the Rainshower showerhead. If you choose the waterfall setting, the water splashes even to the end of the overall 2.2 m long shower.

Regards,

Dirk
