For hygiene reasons, we have omitted such a wall niche despite having the same shower construction. You can't get it dry with a squeegee, it becomes a cleaning task or a corner full of lime and limescale. 2 people, 2 bottles. Whoever showers takes their own from the cabinet, wipes it off with a towel after showering, and puts it back on the shelf. Always everything clean. Karsten

Sorry Karsten, but I find that totally complicated and impractical. Especially with 2 kids, it’s not just 2 bottles. The woman alone has 3 or 4? Of which 2-3 are for her hair. And besides, where do I put it during the shower? Definitely not on the floor! That would make me feel like I'm in a cheap hotel. It should be a bit cozy after all.

Ok, we have zero problems with the floor. None with the rest either. But when it comes to [Badfachhandel], there are plenty of solutions for the wall, with and without drilling. Karsten
