Thanks first of all for your answers. I am also considering whether it would be possible to lay the vinyl through and then put something under the feet of the kitchen so that the feet do not press directly on the vinyl. That way, in my opinion, the load would be better distributed.

Hello, and how did you finally do it? We are now also facing the decision whether to lay Parador Modular One under the kitchen (a U-shaped kitchen, basically with an island) or first the kitchen then the design floor. Best regards

From my experience: We only "laid" our click vinyl because the manufacturer specifically required it. The topic of "floating installation." The heavy kitchen would then create a point load, and edges could form at the transitions (as some wrote here as well).

That is less of a problem. The real problem is that vinyl is not shape-stable, especially in sunlight. If it is rigid vinyl, it is much more shape-stable and there would be no concerns about laying it fully.

Vinyl is nothing more than a PVC floor, just with a fancier name... in my eyes, it is not an optimal choice for a kitchen. There are also inexpensive and nice tiles. Time-tested and lasts forever.

Well, there are a few differences... Click vinyl is definitely suitable for the kitchen, and before I lay tiles in my open-plan kitchen, I'd rather go for the click vinyl.
