Hello dear forum community,
I purchased and had installed an awning (3200 euros) from a company operating nationwide from Duisburg.
Due to the ETICS, injection anchors were used to attach the brackets (to which the awning is mounted). However, one of these is installed at an angle from the side and simply doesn’t look nice in the visible area (see picture). Also, the plaster seems to be slightly depressed, so I’m not sure if something needs to be done there.
I have reported this to the company and thought someone would come to inspect and adjust the angle. But that wasn’t the case; instead, I received a brief reply stating that this can happen with these anchors and does not affect the function of the awning. Too bad, so I wrote back and forth again, asking them to look at it on site and correct it if necessary.
No one came to me, and I received the answer again that this is not a defect and, besides, I had signed the acceptance protocol (which I unfortunately overlooked at the time...).
What do you think? The invoice has not been paid yet. Should I deduct something and then have it corrected by someone else (the withheld amount I could transfer later). Or is it really not a defect, and the awning installer is right.
Thanks already for your assessments.
Regards Robert
