Should the awning maker make corrections here? - Is this a defect?

I would have, you are probably right there. I certainly include myself in that; in some things I’m a nitpicker and in others I couldn’t care less. Example: I’m happy that Graywacke stones in our hillside reinforcement, along the access path, and the various small walls and steps visibly bear fossils. At the same time, I have a gravel driveway with very visible tire tracks. Gravel proves not to be the first choice on the steeper parts of the driveway, and in case of doubt I have to pull a delivery van up with the tractor. I laugh at myself for that — and my wife laughs at me too. Such little things can be taken with humor, it lifts the mood.

Have you already tried to slightly loosen the screw (in der Hausmauer) and turn the bracket yourself? Then tighten the screw again and done.
