Should precast concrete filigree ceilings in the basement be left unplastered?

?the thread is already a bit older. How did it turn out? We currently have a similar problem, but we want to leave the concrete ceiling in the living area exposed. However, now we have various imprints and rust stains. Has anyone had experience with sanding concrete?

Hello, in the end we had the ceilings wallpapered and painted, that was the "safe" option.
