Should a building expert be involved before the warranty expires?

Hello,

we have a defect that we would like to have inspected. The problem is, we asked 2 and 2 say hmm yes, within a 50 km radius people know each other. But we can do it.

Is that always a problem or do such experts approach the matter neutrally?

It is also interesting that one wants to "make it appealing" to us to thoroughly check the entire house (2 residential units with 110 sqm each) for 750 € net each, including moisture measurements, to report any possible damages before the warranty period expires (in our case 2019).

Have you ever done something like this? We are basically satisfied and I don't feel like getting a list saying one tile is cracked, or there is a crack in the foundation slab and the house has to go^^

It's about safety; if the expert only finds nonsense, then that's good and you sleep better, and if things turn out differently, you can take action, keep damages under control, and prevent an impending disaster.

I have always approached things neutrally and the colleagues I knew did the same

Is the price OK from the appraiser?

I am "struggling" with myself whether I want to know the small things...

Most people regularly take their car in for a check-up. Many even go regularly to the doctor for a "check-up" (at least to the dentist). Why shouldn't one have their house checked once in a lifetime as well? The warranty process is a good opportunity for that. Not too early, but also (not yet) too late.

Sure, I just don't want to hear about holes even at the dentist^^

Is the price reasonable?
