We are still at the shell construction stage. We have now reached the masonry work on the 1st floor. Therefore, two questions from me on the topic:

1. Is night frost an obstacle for masons?
2. Is the reinforced concrete ceiling (partially finished, partially cast on site) also at risk during night frost?

Thank you very much!

Thanks again for the answer. By the way, we were really lucky in this regard, the weather was great. The floor slab was poured during the time when we had about 15 degrees during the day and it did not get colder than 5 degrees at night; there was also light rain once in the morning. I think we couldn’t have wished for much better conditions for the floor slab in November! Otherwise, the basement is now more or less finished and tomorrow the basement ceiling will be put on!

Stromberg would say: Going great!

So, last week we had our foundation slab poured and the next day the bricklayers immediately started with the exterior masonry. According to our master bricklayer, temperatures down to 0 degrees are not a problem.

Hello,

Kind regards
