Sewage slope - Do we get the necessary slope?

Hello,

I need some help from people who know their stuff.
We want to build a single-family house (without a basement) on a corner plot. The street running along the long side of the plot (the plot is roughly rectangular 21×34m) slopes slightly downward. However, we want to align the house with this street because otherwise, with the house width + carport, etc., we won’t make it, as we have to leave a 5m distance at the street corner. Now we are considering how to best manage the wastewater connection (the sewer runs roughly centrally under both streets) and I have several questions about that. First of all: Is it correct that usually a connection is only provided/possible in the area of gullies?
If yes, theoretically two spots would be possible. One is about 12m to the house, and the other about 35m. Of course, we would prefer to pay for fewer meters. However, with the closer connection, there is the problem that it would be in the slightly sloping street and slightly higher than the house position on the plot. Now we are wondering whether it could still work with the slope, etc. I unfortunately can’t judge that at all, because I don’t know, for example, how high above the sewer base the connection pipe would have to be. The sewer itself is (according to a somewhat overwhelmed woman at the municipality) probably 2m deep.
Maybe someone can help me a bit here. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact height difference between the plot and the gully, but definitely less than 1m... I’d estimate more like 50-60cm.
Of course we will discuss everything with the responsible people, but we would like to have an idea first whether there is a chance to manage with fewer meters or if we definitely have to expect high costs due to the many meters.
Thanks in advance!

Hello, you usually do not have to orient yourselves by manholes. Get a sewer plan from the municipality. It shows all the necessary information, e.g. the point where the sewer connection is on your property but also sewer depth, diameter, etc. Regarding slope, straight and no basement is no problem. The aforementioned connection is at sewer depth. The slope to the connection is usually made in the last meters outside the house. Best regards Ippebson

Thank you! The problem is that when we asked the municipality for a sewer plan, they gave us a plan that only shows the location of the sewer under the street and the drains. Nothing is marked or indicated towards our property, but allegedly they have no other plan.

In the case of a previously undeveloped plot, it is very likely because there simply hasn't been anything there so far, right? You will have to install appropriate shafts (rain/sewage) on your property, which will then be connected to the sewer system. This should work independently of any shafts (gullies) in the street; otherwise, every single house would have an associated "street gully."

The slope from the house to your own shaft should then not be a problem, since it can be planned accordingly in advance.

Yes, that can of course be the case that there is nothing there. So could you then connect to any point on the sewer so that we can simply take the shortest route? The gullies are marked on the plan with a circle with a cross, which according to a friend of mine, who should actually know from professional reasons, are the intended connection points...I am a bit confused now

It is just as Dr. Hix writes, on your property there will be an inspection shaft and from there a straight branch to the pipe, it has nothing to do with a drain.
