Hello, I hope you can help me. This year I was able to complete my own home. I received 50,000 euros in funding from Kfw. Building application was in 2015, meaning Energy Saving Ordinance 2014. We are talking about KFW 70 here. Now after the construction work is finished, the engineering office says I did not meet Kfw requirements even though I fulfilled everything. He says I still need a ventilation system in the house. At that time, I agreed that I would get 2 warm water collectors on the roof and that would be completely sufficient plus the other construction measures. Now my plan is to completely cancel the Kfw and then I just won’t have a Kfw house. Can someone tell me what kind of penalty I will face? I would then refinance the building costs of 50,000 with the bank. Besides, I have already been paying the Kfw loan for 1.5 years. Hope for answers.

Kind regards

At least nowadays, program 153 grants an unlimited special repayment right. I think it was the same before the relaunch of the program. Ergo costs = 0. Ask your bank.

I would try to quietly refinance it. As Alex has already written, it can be repaid free of charge. You just have to see what the conditions of the [Nachfinanzierung] are.

Shouldn't this be clarified first before talking to the bank? What deadlines are currently running (KfW confirmation?)? What interest rates do you have?

Kfw interest rate of 1.3 percent. Today I will first talk to the gas water people or another energy advisor. Because I have actually achieved everything. So first get a second opinion ...and the remaining interest rate 2.35

Just throwing it out there: The KfW program 124, which is not tied to energy requirements, is available today at 0.75% p.a. Although I would be surprised if these better conditions were passed on to the end consumer in a refinancing ...

Be that as it may, I would first check whether it is actually KfW70. When building the house, it was ultimately paid for in whatever form.
