Setting up a passage room: What could be placed there?

Hello,

we have a small passage room here that connects the hallway with the living room.
It’s not big and considering that two walls have doors and one wall has two windows, there isn’t much space for furniture.
So far we only have a sofa and two small shelves in there, but it somehow feels empty.
What else could we put in there?
When we have visitors, it’s not as nice as it is now.

the first question that comes to mind is, for whom do you want to set up the walkthrough room? For yourself or for the visitors? Maybe the answer is already found in this question? Just make a guest room. Then you don't always have to let the visitors into the living room. A sofa with a small table, a few plants, would be completely enough.

I would set this up as my home office. Desk with shelves and of course many plants. A wall board would also be included. It of course depends on what you do for a living.

for that I have a study where not everyone has to walk through :)
When working I need my peace.
Also, my desk doesn't always look like something I want to show everyone.
My study is also my retreat where I can withdraw.
The passage room will probably only remain a kind of reception area for guests.

I like a walk-through room like that and I would also have something like that. We always meet with friends for game night and that takes place in the living room. In a walk-through room like that, I would put a table with chairs. In addition, beer tables for drinks and a refrigerator.

Good, you have your own office, I think you need that for your work. We only sit at the computer occasionally and do the tax return once a year, we don't need more than that.
