I have tried for a long time to see the meaning. I think "joint color" fits quite well. :)

Doesn't look like it to me. They are all "fully dyed"
I believe it is not standard goods. The different colors are not dyed through one stone, so each stone has several colors. That is quite expensive, so it will not be available like that in the catalog. It is a niche product. I could imagine that it is old brickware, fired bricks (is that what they're called?).

Where do you see a contradiction/opposition in through-coloring to the fact that the color pattern within a stone is heterogeneous?
And: which stone does not look through-colored to you – the Vandersanden Mira or the one in the example picture?

Do you mean bricks?

No, I mean fire bricks. And the full coloring, you can see that by comparison.

Comparison of what: the example image with the Mira or the stones within the example image with each other? I have not yet understood how you associate the assessment of whether through-coloring or engobe with the fact that the stones are mottled/marled and not monotonous/solid.
