Security key at the front door, yes or no?

In our area, there were a few break-ins into single-story houses through the roof a few years ago. Many don't have a complete wooden sheathing under the roof tiles.

On the topic: We have all exterior doors including the garden gate keyed alike with a security key.

There have also been break-ins through a dug tunnel.... but then to the bank safe or the jewels. Such break-ins through the roof often happened in discount stores because they are all built the same. Not so much anymore in today's single-family houses.

Hehe, no, not earlier either. As I said, the average burglar is characterized by laziness and limited intelligence. Usually, they know one method and then always apply it the same way. There are many apartment or single-family house burglaries, unfortunately, but with the prevention options offered, often money is made off fear. It always remains a very personal trade-off between the measure and the resulting loss of quality of life or money. There is no THE truth, and even the greatest "specialist" does not know it.
Burglars who really have high technical qualifications also specifically select suitable properties with expected contents.

What is actually still stolen during a traditional burglary nowadays? Televisions are worthless, the average single-family house owner hardly has any art. Cash is out of fashion. Is the silverware still worth it? Isn't it the case that the damage caused by the burglary is much higher than the value of the stolen stuff?

Watches, jewelry, women's handbags, expensive cameras.
