Hello everyone,
our search for a front door that we like and that fits within our budget is somewhat humiliating.
Basically, we are looking for a door in country house style. The many catalogs I have browsed so far basically offer almost the same designs. But we don’t really like any of them.
Therefore, we have already obtained individual offers from carpenters and window manufacturers as well as once even saw a (wooden) door in an exhibition. The prices start at 5000€ and go up to 10,000€.
We planned with a budget of 3500€ gross including installation costs.
We have now found the attached door online from the company Brunkhorst. Unfortunately, they are located far from us in Hamburg (postal code 33***). Currently, the option would be to have it shipped and installed by someone else. However, that would carry the risk of errors in measuring on our part.
Also, it is a wooden door, basically not bad, but with the gable side facing south the door would be exposed to the weather all day. I was told that this is not very suitable for wooden doors.
My concern now is whether you could take a look in the catalogs you have on hand to see if you recognize this door from the photo in the catalog and could tell me the suppliers. The door panels could then be ordered and installed by a local company into a door frame.
I hope something comes together, many thanks.
