Search for cheap surface-mounted boxes/switches

Do you mean those gray ones with a flap in front for the garage and such? They are from Kopp and can be found in every hardware store in the country.....

Would not necessarily need moisture-resistant flaps. The basement is dry.

Does anyone else have other suggestions or possibly even sources?

Berker has a very nice surface-mounted range in white, glossy, based on their S 1 series. Available through any electrician or the internet.

Just a really silly question about that...

In my basement rooms, there is currently one socket and one switch flush-mounted per room. As far as I know, there is no flush-mounted junction box per room.

I would now like to install additional boxes in the corners of the rooms. I want/must install these surface-mounted because I also have to run them along concrete exterior walls, and sockets are supposed to be installed there as well. How would you connect this flush-mounted installation so that I can continue with the surface-mounted installation?

The idea was to put a surface-mounted box on the existing boxes.
