Good morning dear forum,
I have the following question:
We bought an older house and replaced all windows, sliding doors including the front door. We also renewed the internal screed (including underfloor heating and insulation underneath, as the house has a basement).
The window installer fitted the front door and sliding doors and sealed the lower area with a black, rubber-like foil to keep moisture and rainwater out of the "interior" of the house. Behind the foil are already the screed and the insulation.
What is your assessment of the execution and your opinion on how to proceed when the outdoor area is to be worked on soon with paving slabs.
My idea was to brush on a bitumen waterproofing, which is to be renewed anyway on the entire plinth area of the house.
I would be very grateful for professional advice!!!
Best regards,
Philip
