Hello, we would like to install our satellite system on our roof with a 5° slope. The cables will not be routed through the roof to avoid a potential weak point (they will be laid outside). Now our construction management rejects the installation of a stand base in which concrete slabs can be placed. They say these would be too heavy for the roof. I can’t imagine that. Could the stand base possibly be shifted by the wind? Are the concrete slabs really a problem for a shed roof? Our neighbors all have their dishes on the shed roof. Strange?

A panel weighs at least 25kg - so there is over 100kg per m2 - I strongly suspect that is too much for the roof.

Furthermore, I would never attach an antenna to the roof like that...

What kind of dish should be mounted how many cm (Installation height mast) above the roof?

Why not simply on the exterior wall then?

Not at all, because I think wall is better.

But if so, then with a mast and a corresponding bracket that is firmly attached to the roof.
